Continuous level measurement in liquids and bulk solids independent of medium surface.
The instrument guides high-frequency radar pulses along a probe in the tank. As the radar pulse meets the surface of a medium, the wave resistance changes and reflects part of the sending pulse. The instrument measures the time between sending and receiving the reflected pulse and analyses the same to determine the distance.

Level measurement in liquids and bulk solids unaffected by surface conditions, i.e. also in foam formation, turbulent surfaces, angled surfaces and discharge funnels. In addition, guided radar acquires interfaces.

All of the Levelflex versions are reliable instruments free of maintenance for liquids, also in the presence of turbulences and foam. Irrespective of density, temperature, conductivity and moisture. Hardware and software are developed according to IEC 61508 for SIL 2 or SIL 3 (homogeneous redundancy).
Process temperatures -196 to +450 °C (-321 to +842°F) and process pressures up to +400 bar (+5.8000 psi).
