Electromechanical level system
Cost-effective level measurement in bulk solids.
A weight on a measuring tape descends from the instrument. As soon as the weight touches the surface of the bulk solids, the instrument recognizes this via the decline in tension and reverses the direction of rotation of the motor to rewind the tape. As the weight descends, the revolutions are counted via an impulse generator in a non-contact manner. Every metering impulse corresponds to an exactly defined length. The level results when this length is deducted from the silo height.
